The rivalry between ASOC and ASSOC dates all the way back when the course began to be taught at UNSW. The annual Futsal and Basketball tournament, which are held during Semester 1 and 2 respectively, have always led to fierce matches between UNSW and Macquarie teams. Last year we (finally) won both the basketball and futsal title, so come and cheer us on this year even if you are not participating and may we retain the two titles.

Actuarial studies is a course that requires a lot of study compared to other university courses, and hence many actuarial students tend to spend numerous hours being inactive. ASOC Sports provides social sports events where actuarial students can socialise with each other while playing non-competitive sport. In a world where we, especially as ACTL students, are always short of time, what’s a better way to save time than to both socialise AND get healthy simultaneously?
